muscle growth - Start your journey and make some massive gains!
Gaining muscle is a complex process that requires intense training as well as a balanced diet and sufficient recovery time. The combination of strength training, protein intake and rest periods is the secret to success. What can you do to optimize your muscle growth?
Increased protein intake
Proteins are the building blocks of our muscles. Consequently, a sufficient supply of high-quality proteins is important to support your muscle growth. Common recommendations from expert committees are ranging between 1.6 - 2.2 g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. This means that a 70 kg person should consume between 112-154 g of protein daily, while a 100 kg bodybuilder should consume up to 220 g of protein per day! Protein shakes and delicious protein snacks can help you cover your daily protein needs!
Recovery for growth
Muscles do not grow while you are training but in the time between your workout sessions - training is just the growth stimulus. In addition to sufficient amounts of protein and a generally nutrient-rich diet, our sleep is extremely important too. While you are asleep, your muscles have the chance to fully recover from the intense exercise. Pro tip: Supply your muscles with high-quality protein overnight. The milk protein casein, which is the main ingredient in our delicious Protein 80 Plus, is slowly digestible and supplies the body with important amino acids for up to seven hours - perfect before going to bed!
progressive training
Intense training is a growth stimulus that forces your body to adapt. You are basically telling your muscles to prepare for the upcoming training sessions – which means growth and neuromuscular adaptations. In order to continue to grow, it is important to constantly create new stimuli in order to trigger further adaptations (even more muscle mass). So you better make sure to have some progress in your training on a regular basis (e.g. more weight, more repetitions) and increase the intensity!
